  • What does it look like when you taken 10,000 photos in 2 hours?

    January 7, 2014
I am always amazed by the power of repetition. When we repeat the same action over time, magic tends to happen. It is through repetition that we learn to walk, talk and do everything we do. When I watch outstanding musicians, artists, sportmen or masters in any field perform their skills, I'm in awe. I'm in awe with the result of their work as much as of the amount of repetition and effort they've put in developing that skill.
  • Do you recognize the patterns in your life?

    December 29, 2013
    Patterns in life.jpg
I've always been fascinated by patterns because they have on my mind a very relaxing effect. This photo is a pattern designed by women in Iran who take up to 10 years to saw carpets like.
Patterns catch my attention because they're everywhere. What patterns do you notice around you? Do you see visual patterns? Do you hear patterns in noises around you? Do you feel patterns of physical sensations?
The patterns that interests me most are the...
  • Life is movement

    December 28, 2013
    Life is movement.jpg
This photo is one of my rare "non-HDR" photos, and I kept it because the movement this picture conveys reminds me that movement is life. Changing is living. Even if it's sometimes too slow for the human eye to notice, everything that lives moves.
As much as I believe in the importance of being still, of slowing down and of taking the time to stop, to keep alive, I believe it's important to keep in motion and to embrace change....
  • Taking the time to stop, sit and breathe.

    December 27, 2013
    Stop sit and breathe.jpg
To follow on the theme of the yesterday's photo , this bench reminds me of taking the time to stop for even just a few minutes. I often feel that through my formal education (academic and professional), I've never been taught to stop and think. I've never been told that when a problem or a situation happens, I don't have to react straight away. I've never been taught that not only it's acceptable to take the time to think, but most often...
  • The worst part of live is that you always have to chose. The best part is you always have the choice.

    December 26, 2013
    chose your path.jpg
I took this photo in Brussels before starting my journey to Morocco. Stairs, path, doors and windows always attract my attention because they remind me that when I see a way, I see opportunities. I like these stairs because we don't know where they lead but they make me want to climb up and discover what's on the other side.
We're close to the New Year and many people seem to take that opportunity to take big decisions: what's...
  • The link between the way we see the world and how to make others do what you want.

    December 24, 2013
    Brussels 2013-5.jpg
Many of us have taken photos of ourselves in mirrors or other surfaces that reflect a distorted image of reality. Why do we love this so much? Why is it so interesting to see how reality can be distorted?
I believe that it is because the way we see the world is not actually how the world is. Perception is not reality. I have learned that for myself, as well as for my guidance clients, whether be during one on...
  • Big Details of Nature

    December 23, 2013
    Detail in Tree
I love taking photos of details because I believe that small things are too easy to miss. There were times during which I walked through life so fast that I didn't notice the world around me.
Every time I'm centered, I start paying attention to the world around me: I start to see little aspects of the world that I would have otherwise completely  ignored. I like to make it a habit to stop and look around... and not just for the big...
  • Beauty of Uncertainty - A reminder from the "no coincidence department"

    December 22, 2013
    Water Dripping
I like this photo because it reminds me that there is beauty in unclarity. I was brought up to believe that I always had to be in control, that I had to know everything and always be prepared. This belief was strengthen by university and work: to be happy in life you need stability and certainty. Aim for a standard job that gives you a regular pay because you don't want to worry about potential problems that can happen: even if...
  • A leader who dares to Inspire - every giant tree started as a tiny seed

    December 21, 2013
    Pawel Gorski
I love portraits because they're an opportunity to tell someone's story. Pawel's story always inspires me. I first met Pawel Gorski during a walk around a lake in Poland. I had been invited to coach the executive board of AIESEC Warsaw and my conversation with Pawel struck a cord with me:
He had just started university and had put himself forward to look after the learning and development for students joining their organization. He admited not knowing much about the...
